Whether meeting friends for a self-care break in the middle of the holidays or enjoying a dinner out with family, Plaza Rancho Bernardo offers a traditional shopping atmosphere with multiple choices.

“There’s a lot to do here, and the Plaza is dressed for the season, renovated and ready for shoppers,” said Benda Farrell, senior property manager at Plaza Rancho Bernardo.

The center’s eateries are one area in which guests have multiple options.

“As soon as I mention the Plaza to people, the first thing they always do is tell me which restaurant they love here,” Farrell said.

The courtyard of Plaza RB works as a joint dining space, with all open seating. With the hanging white lights, Farrell said the area is even more festive during the holidays.

Among the options are Akai Hana, offering Japanese sushi and bento lunch boxes; the Iron Wok, with authentic Chinese cuisine; Naturally Desi Cafe, offering Indian street food and The Barrel Room and URGE American Gastropub, both with American food favorites.

The long-awaited Roberto’s Taco Shop opened in September 2022.

“It’s a big hit and a good addition to our options,” said Farrell. She added that one of the unique features of Plaza RB is “all the food is great, not just at one restaurant, but at every one.”

Diners will soon have another choice, as The Golf Bar is slated to open by early 2023. The GolfBar offers indoor golf simulators, as well as a dozen other simulator games. Menu options will be available, as well as space for parties and events.

No matter where guests shop or dine this year, they will find an inviting, upgraded landscape.

“Over eight months of renovation, the North Plaza has had repairs made and the landscape redo. The resulting plantings and walkways are beautiful and guests have been pleased with how nice it all looks,” Farrell said.

Guests looking for exercise or fitness can participate in Elite Fencer’s Club, SwiftKick Martial Arts and Stretch U.

With a post office and CVS drug store, as well as many other shops nearby, it’s easy to take care of multiple errands and stops with just one trip.

“Many of our shops and services are offering holiday specials, and we hope everyone comes out to support the small businesses residing at Plaza Rancho Bernardo,” Farrell said.

She noted that curbside pickup, takeout and online services are available.
