You can get what you want in life. It’s true. Life is a beautiful journey. We have the power to create our very own wonderful life and live it how we choose. But sometimes, life throws you a curveball and you wonder how you can get the things in life that you want the most.
Maybe it’s the courage to start your own business or to travel the world and live a life you’ve only dreamed of. The trouble is, you can’t seem to understand exactly how to get from point A to point B…and I’ve been there and I’ve overcome that..
You can too.
In this post, I want to talk to you about a life changing reality that has made my life truly a living fairytale. From my ability to lose over 65 lbs. and run a successful company to finding my one true love. I was able to manifest these things into reality within a year.
You can transform your life, too.
The question is, do you believe that you can?
A lot of people wish and hope for things. Unfortunately, wishing and hoping do not accomplish anything without taking action.
Action is one of the keys to success. Without taking action, you have hope and wishful thinking; which get you nowhere but lost in daydreams. Action is one of the single-most important difference between successful people and those who wish and hope to be successful.
So what do I do, Chloe?
It’s simple. Take action.
Here are some tips on helping you to take action and claim the life you want.
Have a clear and defined goal
Sometimes people have a million things they want accomplished and they want them accomplished all at once. Not gonna happen. In order to successfully achieve what you want, you must focus on one clear and defined goal. Do not work on multiple tasks at once, work on one goal first and achieve that success.
Once you’ve accomplished that goal, move on to your next goal.
But how do I know which goal to focus on?
Well, that’s up to you. You have to focus on the goal that will help you the most and provide the most benefit to you.
Let’s say for example you want to run a six figure company from home, doing whatever you want. However, your funds are low and you need money in order to start the business. A goal in mind should be to get a job (or a higher paying job) or find ways you can earn money to help achieve that goal.
The most important aspect to keep in mind is that you need a clear and defined goal. If you do decide to get a job or earn extra money, make sure you stick to your path and don’t deter to the side or stray off track. Keep a calendar or diary to track your timeframe for when you’ll be able to accomplish one small goal of your larger, main goal.
This can be, for example, to save $500 a month for the next 3 months in order to purchase inventory to start your company. It can be to purchase a laptop or to hire an expert in SEO to build your website. Whatever your goal is, keep track of it. Without it being written down it technically doesn’t exist and will be forgotten. Keep track!
Work towards your goal, piece by piece to get what you want in life
The trouble with goals is that we set high standards for ourselves that can’t be met, like lose 100 lbs. in a week (good luck) or make $50,000 a day (it’s possible, but will take time). We think we can accomplish these humongous goals overnight and then beat ourselves up when we fail.
Don’t set yourself up for failure.
Instead, take small steps towards your larger goal. It can be something as simple as “lose 2 lbs. a week” which is totally doable. It can be as small as “earn $500 a month”. These goals are obtainable and easy to reach. So set small, achievable goals that will eventually lead you to accomplish your larger goal.
Enjoy the ride
When I first started out on my entrepreneurial goal, I’d tell myself I’d only be happy once I’d reach “x” goal. Then I’d reach that goal, not even celebrating that I’d accomplished my goal because I’d have a new goal set in place.
I remember once I had a goal to earn $5,000 a month and I thought I’d be ecstatic and super happy once I’d accomplished that goal. Once I reached my goal, I didn’t even realized I had because I had a new goal I was working on. I wasn’t enjoying my journey. I was simply working through my goals as if they had not even happened.
Don’t do this. It’s a motivation killer.
I used to cry at night about not reaching or accomplishing some other silly thing and forgetting about the milestones I had already accomplished. I had to literally write down everything I had done so far in my journey to appreciate what I was doing in that moment.
Enjoy your ride getting to where it is you want to go. Whether that’s starting a new business or learning how to make your life better than what it is right now, keep going. Obstacles in our paths are only temporary but overcoming these obstacles are achievements we cherish for a lifetime.
