If you already have your blog setup, let’s move right along with the tutorial. So, what are the steps to setting up an online ship? In today’s post, we will cover the exact steps to creating your online shop on a WordPress blog.
How To Create A WooCommerce Shop On A WordPress Blog
Step 1 | Determine How Much Traffic You Get Every Month
Traffic plays a huge role in your online shop (believe it or not) and making sure that your site loads quickly so you don’t suffer from too much downtime (or any at all), is important. Selecting the right hosting provider is key, so your site runs smoothly. I recommend Bluehost if you are getting less than 1,000 page views per month. You can check them out here.
Step 2 | Installing the WooCommerce plugin
Installing the WooCommerce plugin is super easy. Once you are logged into your Admin area in WordPress, go to Plugins in the left side panel bar and select Add New
You will then be directed to the Add Plugins page where you can search in the keyword bar for “WooCommerce”. Select the WooCommerce option to install the plugin.
Step 3 | Adding Product Pages
Once you have installed the WooCommerce plugin, you can start adding your products, yay! ?
Make sure that you include a product name, description, images and price for each product that you list.
Step 4 | Buy Your Test Products
Make sure that your shop is up and running like a pro and ready for purchases. Always double check by running a few test purchases with your products so your customers don’t run into any issues. You can even have a friend test out your shop to make sure everything is running smoothly.
Once everything looks good, you can launch your shop with all of your amazing products for sale.
Whether your products are digital or physical, WooCommerce is an excellent plugin for your WordPress blog to sell your products. It is perfect to showcase what you have to offer as a blogger to your audience.
